The Civil Engineering Research Reception (CERR) is organized under the Department of Civil Engineering, with a primary objective to facilitate group-to-group research interactions that promote the exchange of ideas across different domains within civil engineering. CERR is characterized by a group-based approach, where the research scholars in the department have formed several groups based on their research overlap. To encourage a diverse and inclusive environment, MS scholars, external candidates, and faculties are also invited to support these groups. The CERR is structured as monthly receptions hosted by each group on a rotational basis. Presently, there are 10 groups, and each of them is offered the freedom to tailor the sessions to their strengths, whether through demonstrations, presentations, or discussions. Thus, CERR strives to elevate the caliber of research on multiple levels and stands as a sustaining platform to promote the continuous exchange of knowledge.
